At Baja Iron, we are dedicated to providing you with the best Adventure bike we can build. The concept is simple: You bring or ship to us a good running, fully licensed Harley Davidson Sportster (1986 - 2006) and we will convert your bike into a legendary Baja Iron Scrambler. So what makes a Baja Iron Scrambler?

Baja Iron Sportster 001 started life as a 1986 Harley sportster with the 1100cc engine and a 4-speed transmission. Our first thought was to feature the bike in and orange and black color scheme but after soliciting many comments and suggestions, we decided that the Baja Iron Scrambler should feature a black color motif. The suspension and front brake assembly for this first bike came from a 1990 Suzuki RM 125 that had been a factory race bike. Engine was blown but great suspension etc. The initial conversion took over 6 months as we worked long hours to determine what needed to be done, source components and refine the entire process.
We learned a great deal in the conversion of this first bike. And we have put that experience to good use in providing you with a product that you can appreciate and enjoy. Your comments, both praise and critisisms are welcome and we can assure you that they will be used to make the Baja Iron Scrambler an even better product in the future.

News Flash: Later this year we will be offering a Baja Iron conversion kit which will allow mechanically inclinded riders to convert their own Sportsters into Baja Iron Scramblers. This will allow riders to avoid the expense of shipping bikes to our shop in California. Stay tuned for more information.
